Hi there!!
I am Tara Ryan
I support adults of all ages who are navigating life’s challenges, transitions, and unexpected changes. I have a special interest in working with women in midlife, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and neurodivergent adults who may be navigating experiences that can feel overwhelming, misunderstood, or difficult to manage alone.
For women in midlife, this may include the emotional and physical changes of perimenopause and menopause, anxiety or depression, career burnout, caregiving for aging parents, divorce or infidelity, grief and loss, empty-nest transitions, retirement, or questions about what comes next. Midlife can bring profound changes that often aren’t talked about enough—and you don’t have to carry the mental and emotional load alone.
For LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent adults, therapy can provide an accepting space to explore identity, relationships, self-acceptance, emotional well-being, and the challenges of navigating environments and expectations that may not always feel like they were designed with you in mind.
Whatever brings you to therapy, you deserve a space where you can feel understood, supported, and accepted. Together, we can work through what feels difficult, reconnect with what matters to you, and help you move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and self-trust.
“For me, becoming isn’t about arriving somewhere or achieving a certain aim. I see it instead as forward motion, a means of evolving, a way to reach continuously toward a better self. The journey doesn’t end.” —Michelle Obama

Specialized Experience
Therapy for Adults
Offering extensive therapeutic experience with adults across the lifespan, and specialized training and experience with specific populations.
- Women's Issues
Specializing in women’s mental health across the lifespan, with a particular focus on menopause, hormonal transitions, and the emotional and psychological changes that often accompany them. I support individuals navigating mood changes, anxiety, depression, sleep difficulties, identity shifts, memory concerns, and challenges related to sexual health and intimacy.
- Anxiety and Depression
My work integrates mind-body awareness, trauma-informed care, and a strengths-based perspective to help clients improve emotional regulation, sleep, self-confidence, intimacy, and overall quality of life. Whether you are adjusting to menopause, struggling with anxiety or depression, redefining your identity, or healing from trauma, I am committed to supporting you with clarity, respect, and care.
- Trauma
I also specialize in working with complex PTSD and trauma, recognizing how past experiences can resurface or intensify during periods of hormonal or life transition. Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client’s unique history, values, and goals. I aim to create a space where clients feel safe, heard, and empowered to reconnect with themselves and their relationships.
